To provide financial guidance through to the maximisation of wealth and ensure fair returns to the stakeholders through maintaining financial discipline. S/he will be responsible for overall financial reporting, budgeting, statutory reporting, asset management with the aim of achieving business profitability. The holder of this role will achieve financial discipline to maximise wealth and fair returns to the stakeholders

    • Approval of payments and financial transactions.
    • Property management.
    • Ensuring the company’s compliance to financial standards.
    • Develop and implement a framework for financial reporting.
    • Develop and implement a framework for company budgeting.
    • Develop and implement a framework for managing statutory reporting.
    • Generate company investment income.
    • Ensure balance between investment and operations.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of financial controls.
    • Conduct market intelligence.
    • Manage financial relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Prepare regular and periodic reports to management that provide the overall strategic performance of the business.
    • Implement the framework of company and individual staff performance management to achieve the set business objectives.
    • Implement the Risk and Compliance framework of CIC to ensure adherence and enforce the risk management and internal controls strategy.
    • Develop proposals and advise management on investments by the Company.
    • Promote and maintain sound corporate governance, ethical, integrity, diversity inclusion and corporate social responsibility standards.
    • Achieve operational results for all key metrics in line with annual business budgets and plans.
    • Carry out performance appraisal, coaching and mentoring staff.
    • Resource allocation, staffing and leave approval.
    • Plan and budget for the department.
    • Develop and recommend to the Board a long-term strategy and annual business plans for the company.
    • Participate in various meeting and committees and acting as spokesperson on behalf of the company.
