Ismael Mukasa is the National Sales Manager - for CIC AFRICA LIFE ASSURANCE LTD. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Makerere University and he is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK. Ismael has exposure of 10 years of Insurance and Financial Services experience in the East African Region, 6 years of which in Direct sales and 4 years in sustainable Business Growth, managing distribution channels and effective and efficient business services. Prior to his promotion as National Sales Manager Individual Life in CIC AFRICA LIFE ASSURANCE, he was the Business Development Manager Alternative Channels with CIC GENERAL INSURANCE (U) Ltd, where he developed and managed distribution channels, distribution Managers, unit managers and an agency force managing a portfolio of Ugx 4 Billion. Prior to joining the CIC Group in November 2016, he was a direct sales representative for UAP-OM for 6 years and was among the 7 top producers for four consecutive years with a budget of 1.5 Billion annual sales.
Manager PR and Sacco Assurance
Mr. Francis Ssemwanga is the Manager PR and Sacco Assurance. He has over 10 years of successful diversified experience as a Marketer, Media and Communications practitioner in Community Development, Business Development Services, Public Relations, Macro and Microfinance, and Research. He has worked as a consultant for Devere&Partners - Zurich, Government of Uganda, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and Property Box UK. Prior to joining CIC, Mr. Ssemwanga worked as the Head of PR and Corporate Affairs with Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union, where he was a member of senior management team, and minute secretary to the Board. Mr. Ssemwanga holds an MBA Marketing, a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, a Diploma in SACCO and Microfinance from Kigumba Cooperative College and he has undertaken several trainings both locally and internationally such as; Certificate in International Business Devere&Partners – Zurich, Certificate in Radio Journalism - University of London, Certificate in Advocacy and Citizen Engagement - Coady International Institute (Canada)
Goretti Nakanwagi is the A.G. CEO/PO of CIC General Insurance. An insurance practitioner with sound technical, managerial and leadership skills spanning over 10 years. Most of the working vast experience is credited to her exposure with Claims, underwriting, risk management but not limited to Reinsurance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Public Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from Makerere University. Holder of a Diploma in CII (UK). She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance London and the Insurance Institute of Uganda. she worked as the Manager Operations of Alliance Africa General Insurance.
Human Resource & Administration Manager
Pheonah Tusiime is the Human Resource & Administration Manager at CIC Africa Insurance Uganda Limited. Pheonah holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Bachelors (Hons) in Business Administration (Accounting) from Makerere University Business School and she is a member of Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda Prior to joining CIC, she was the HR Manager at AIG Uganda, and a senior HR generalist and has experience in multinational organizations where she developed a reputation for excellence, professionalism and achieving high- quality results in challenging situations. For the last 13 years, she has worked as a Human Resource Manager, HR Generalist and before that, as an Executive Assistant to the MD. In these roles, she has developed a wide range of managerial experience in Human Resource and Administration not limited to compensation, performance management, leadership development, talent acquisition & retention in line with HR best practices. She is particularly passionate about employee development and much of her work is in the area of Human Resource Development.
Branch Manager Mbarara
Ms. Immaculate Akatukwatsa is the Branch Manager for CIC Africa Life Assurance in charge of Mbarara. Immaculate is a holder of a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) and is pursuing a diploma in Insurance from the Insurance Training college of Uganda (ITC). She is also a holder of a Diploma in SACCO and Microfinance Management from Uganda Cooperative College-Kigumba and a graduate of Makerere University Kampala with a Bachelors of Arts (Communication Skills) Immaculate has a 5 Year experience as an insurance practitioner and over 10 years of practical work as a microfinance consultant. Prior to joining CIC, she has worked as a Regional Manager for Uganda cooperative Savings and Credit Union in charge of Western Uganda, Financial services consultant with Friends consult and Ankole Private Sector promotion centre in charge of implementing various Government of Uganda Programmes; Microfinance Outreach Programme, Rural Financial Services programme, PROFIRA all geared towards financial inclusion among organised groups notably Financial Cooperatives (SACCOs) She is also an accomplished and professional trainer and holds various certificates from; the Insurance Training College, Uganda Institute of Bankers, Microfinance support Centre, IFAD, Enterprise Uganda and suffice.
