CIC Jijenge Saving Plan

CIC Jijenge Savings Plan is a 12 yr endowment product in the life division that provides a savings element with a life and disability cover. The client gets to save an equivalent of Kshs 20/- a day and not only does he/she get the discipline to save, the scheme earns the savings interest and there is an immediate life insurance cover of 50,000/= which increases to Kshs. 100,000 by the 12th year

  • Monthly payments of premiums from as low as Ksh. 600. Higher monthly premiums Payments in multiples of Ksh. 600 upto Ksh. 12,000 per month.
  • The Policy will acquire a cash value after it has been in force for a period of 12 months from the commencement date and the cash benefit shall be accessible after 36 months
  • The proposer may borrow up to a 85% of the Exit Benefit after the Policy has been In force for a period of 36 months or more. The amount borrowed will attract an administration and processing fee to be determined at the time of Loan Application and will reduce the Exit Benefits. The loan may be repaid at any time without notice to the Company.
  • The Final Maturity Benefit shall become payable as shown in the Jijenge Savings Plan Benefit schedule below. The amounts paid will be net of amount borrowed plus interest plus any sums due to the Company.
  • If the Policy lapses, it may be reinstated within twelve calendar months from the date of  expiry subject to the payment of all outstanding contributions together with interest thereon and a revival fee as fixed by the Company from time to time.

The policy shall not be used as collateral or security through any private arrangement.

In the event of Death or Permanent Total Disability, the Company will pay to the declared beneficiary Ksh. 50,000 or the Exit Benefit whichever is higher. (For every Ksh. 600 monthly)

The Policy does NOT cover claims arising from:

  • Principal members who are above 70 years of age at entry, Any criminal activities;
  • Abuse of alcohol and drugs; Any act of war (whether war be declared or not) military action, terrorist activities, civil commotion or insurrection in all cases whether as an active participant.
  • Death or Permanent Total Disability arising out of natural causes within six months from the Commencement Date of this Policy and Suicide within 6 months of Commencement Date.

The table shows the benefits for every Ksh. 600 monthly contribution.

Contributions in multiples of Ksh. 600 will have the Benefits times the multiplier
