2011 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS HIGHLIGHTS

The Board of Directors of The CIC Insurance Group Ltd is pleased to announce the Group’s audited financial results for the year ended 31st December 2011. The key performance highlights are as follows:

• Gross premium income grew by 48% from Ksh 4.6 billion to Ksh 6.7 billion
• Profit before tax grew by 30% from Ksh 605 million to Ksh 787 million.
• Liquid investments increased by 65% from Ksh 3.5 billion to Ksh 5.8 billion
• Total assets grew by 48% from Ksh 7.5 billion to Ksh 11.1 billion
• Total shareholders’ funds grew by 65% from Ksh 2.6 billion to Ksh 4.3 billion
• The directors recommend payment of a first and final dividend of Ksh 1.80 per share (2010 – Ksh1.60 per share) on all allotted shares. This is a growth of 12.5% from previous year.
