CIC Insurance Group Limited has a new subsidiary Company- The CIC Asset Management Limited. Asset management is the art of selecting and investing in the best available assets. It is also important that the assets are monitored continuously so that any kind of risk may be avoided.

CIC Asset Management has been licensed and registered by the Capital Markets Authority as a collective investment scheme and has launched its Unit Trusts products in the Kenyan market to reach out to the many Kenyans who have been left out due to the minimum initial amount to start investing.

A unit trust is a separate, independent legal trust set up to meet a stated investment objective. The trust is then broken up into equal-ranking units. The rationale is that many individuals pool together a minimum amount of Ksh. 10,000 each.
The fund manager invests the money using different investment vehicles depending on the investors risk profile and appetite for returns.

CIC asset management has four types of funds namely;
  • CIC Equity fund
  • CIC Money Market fund
  • CIC Balanced fund
  • CIC Fixed Income Fund


These funds are short to long term investments.
